Nabumetone is a non-acidic, nonsteroidal antiinflammatory agent formally related to naproxen. Its main circulating metabolite is 6-methoxy-2-naphthylacetic acid (α-nornaproxen). A non-steroidal anti-inflammatory prodrug used for treatment of inflammatory and degenerative rheumatic diseases.
